The New Transit provides impressive load space in all three dimensions: load length, width (from wheel arch to wheel arch) and usable interior height. With 15.1 cubic metres of load space, you can fit cargo over 3 metres long. And with a carrying capacity of up to 2.1 tonnes, you’ll never be short of space or ability to transport almost anything. Wide side load doors, optimised opening height and a rear access step all ensure effortless access to your cargo too.
Advanced new engine technology
Featuring a range of advanced 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines, the New Transit is more powerful and more efficient than ever. With four powertrains available, offering up to 185 PS of horsepower, you’re guaranteed to find the one that meets your specific needs. The New Transit is also available with an HDT (Heavy Duty Truck) engine for customers who need a bit more power. The engine can produce even more torque, making it ideal for heavier conversions.
Helping you to work smarter
The New Transit is packed with advanced technology. All made to help you work smarter and more efficiently. These include the Blind Spot Information System and Cross Traffic Alert, both designed to alert you to other road users when changing lanes or reversing. Active Park Assist makes parking your van easier. And the new Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control helps to make long drives on the motorway less tiring and more economical. There’s even a new high level rear-view camera with Downlighter and front wide-view camera, so you can always see what’s around your van. It’s technology so useful, you’ll wonder how you did without it.
A system that can help prevent collisions and protect pedestrians
Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses radar and camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, it’ll then provide you with a warning. If you don’t respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.
The key to a more connected world
For the first time, the New Transit is available with a FordPass Connect modem§. The system provides a range of invaluable benefits, including up to 4G WiFi* for up to ten devices, and real-time traffic updates†† delivered straight to your in-car navigation system. When combined with the FordPass app on your phone, you’ll be able to check if you remembered to lock the doors, and then lock or unlock them remotely. You can even see your van’s location on a map, so you don’t have to worry about forgetting where you parked when in unfamiliar locations.

[§]The test used to establish fuel consumption and CO2 figures has changed to deliver results that are more representative of real driving. The Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedeure (WLTP) has replaced the old NEDC test. The Fuel Consumption and CO2 figures shown are derived from the new WLTP test. Please note that vehicle registration tax (VRT) is not based on these WLTP figures in 2019, these figures are for information purposes only. Adding options or accessories to your chosen vehicle can Impact WLTP fuels consumption and CO2 emissions. Please speak to your Ford Dealer for more information. The fuel consumption you achieve in real life conditions and CO2 produced will depend upon a number of factors including options and accessories fitted, variations in weather, driving styles and vehicles load. The declared Fuel/Energy Consumption CO2 Emissions and Electric range are determined according to the technical requirements and specifications of the European Regulations (EC) 715/2007 and (EU) 2011/1115 as last amended. The applied standard test procedure enables comparison between different vehicle types and different manufacturers. In addition to the fuel efficiency of a car, driving behavior as well as other non-technical factors play a role in determining a car’s fuel/energy consumption, CO2 emissions and electric range, CO2 is the main greenhouse gas responsible for global warming. A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge.
